Getting website traffic is easy with followings;

1) Write articles related to your website.

Do not copy and publish other articles on your website, as your website’s ranking will go down among all search angines.

2) Create free tools for your visitors to enjoy.

One of the common mistakes that somebody has dating website and offering meta tag creator on his website. What would you call that? Someone who is interested in dating other people will use the meta tag creator for what?

3) Get a few quality one-way back links from other websites.

I know you will say how would that increase my traffic, but trust me for a website to be treated as a website not a garbage needs quality sites linking back. Because for them linking back to you saying your website has something useful for visitors. I know a few webmasters who were penalized by search engines, but still making real good money by the traffic they get from backlinks.

4) If you are serious webmaster then you should treat your website as your future investment.

Do not try to make your website #1 within a few months. It’s not possible. You and your website needs time. I have had a dating website since 2003 and had only 2 links on page that time, but now there are more than 1200 links and it happened by itself. People find you, and exchange links, offer partnerships, business proposals etc. This will happen overtime.

If you want to get thousands of website visitors to your site for free then you need time, otherwise you need to buy traffic and advertisements.
