BOOST YOUR WEBSITE TRAFFIC

If you have an online business then you know that driving traffic to your website or to your affiliate’s website is of primary importance, after all, without traffic who would buy your products, click on your affiliate links or make you money? So one of the primary objectives is to drive traffic to your website but how do you do it?

One of the first methods you could use to drive targeted traffic to your website is article marketing. If you are knowledgeable about the subject you are advertising and are able to write then you could choose to write your own articles and submit them to article directories but if you are not able to write your own articles you could always get other people to do it for you. Article marketing is beneficial in that it sends people who are already interested in your product to your website as they have read your article and so know what you are selling.

Another targeted form of advertising is forum marketing. A primary key to forum marketing is to build a relationship with the people who visit the forum. Do not hard sell. Post messages that are relevant and helpful but ones that are also on topic to your website. When people have read a couple of your posts and seen your website address or affiliate link in your signature they will want to know more about you and so will be more likely to click through to your website. If you choose forums that are relevant to the type of product you are selling these people will be more inclined to buy the product you are selling.

Email groups such as Google groups and Yahoo groups are another way of driving traffic to your website. Join email groups that are relevant to the topic of your website and then follow the same rules as for forum marketing - build up a relationship with your group before marketing your website and don’t hard sell. Also check the rules regarding posting to the groups. Some groups allow you to post a couple of times a day or only at certain times, etc. Follow their rules but try to post as often as possible as this will expose people to your message more often and they can also see your link in your signature more often and so will be more likely to click on it. Also consider the type of posts that other members are making - some groups do allow mostly hard sell posts while others are more informative and wanting people to share information rather than just selling their product.

Traffic exchanges are another useful way to drive traffic to your website and a very popular method but they do not provide as targeted traffic as most of the people who will be seeing your website are other webmasters wanting to advertise their website. Some traffic exchanges are getting more targeted however and providing a choice of what websites webmasters view so you get webmasters who at least have some interest in your topic.

Recently, a 2nd generation Internet, has evolved. Web 2.0 refers to all the new communication and interaction programs now available. Websites like MySpace, facebook and YouTube are quickly becoming preferred sources of web traffic.

Driving traffic to your website is one of your main priorities in running your online business. There are a number of methods you can use to drive traffic to your website including article marketing, forum marketing, email groups, traffic exchanges and social networking. The more targeted traffic these methods send to your website the better as this will help to increase your sales or earnings.

How To Get Massive Website Traffic For Free

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
If you have just started a website then listen closely. If you are an experienced Webmaster you just may learn a thing or two as well. The fact is, if you want real people to come to your website it is going to take a little time and a lot of determination. Do not let this distract you. Thousands of people use the following techniques effectively every single day, bringing in massive website traffic that creates an enormous cash flow for their home business.

Most of us know the two greatest factors that create incredible website traffic if worked the right way. These two things are links and most importantly quality, keyword optimized content on your site. What many do not know, and I hope to shed some like on the topic, is the several ways you can bring traffic to your site through non traditional methods of link building and content creation.

When we start our first website, we are told to find as many reciprocal links as possible. This means finding quality, relevant websites and requesting to link with them. Reciprocal linking can be good but I have found that there are other things I could be doing with my time that will pay off more than just reciprocal linking. As reciprocal linking is not a bad thing, I would not say to stop doing it. I would just say do not spend hours a day on it. The number one linking strategy I have found to provide the best results and in turn sending loads of website traffic to my site is what I call triangular linking.

Triangular linking is the result of website a placing a link to website b, now website b places a link to website c and website c places a link to website a. This completes a triangle and the search engines love it. The benefit to triangular linking is that search engines will see a one way link to each site without a reciprocal link but all three sites will benefit. I believe a combination of reciprocal linking and triangular linking is the key.

Submitting articles to article directories is probably the number one technique in getting links back to your site and most importantly visitors. I try to write at least three articles a week and submit to as many article directories as possible. Not only does this provide your site with one-way links, it also brings in website traffic directly through the article if the reader is interested and clicks.

Now that I have talked about bringing in a lot of website traffic through linking it is time to talk about the actual content of your website. In my experience, the basic principle of creating as many informational, keyword optimized pages as possible along with a good linking campaign is the best way to bring in massive website traffic. I have found that including the keyword for each individual page approximately six or seven times per every four hundred words provides the best results.

Keep these thoughts in mind when building your websites promotion strategy and you will see great results in a short amount of time. Lastly, people like good, clean, informational sites. Providing a quality site that is worth taking a look at will always prove to bring in repeat traffic to your site.

Generating Website Traffic

Monday, July 27th, 2009
What good is it if you have designed a great website and it just sits there on the Internet without a visitor and you are unable to generate website traffic ? Website traffic is like the life and soul of your internet marketing business, almost like the sales force of your traditional offline business. Unless you bring in traffic you could neither sell your product or service nor make profits through online sales. Here are six easy ways to boost your website traffic to be used as part of your e-business marketing strategy to your informative website and online sales. These are all to be used as an element of marketing strategy to take your business to the next level.

1. Use trade links to get website traffic as part of your internet marketing with similar sites that have high ranking.

Targeted visitors would come flooding to your site if you build trade links with other sites that carry similar contents like yours. If you trade links with sites that do not have the same information as yours, it would be irrelevant and would not make sense to your visitor when he clicks on those links for more information on a similar topic. So be sure to trade links with a similar site and your objective is to use this technique effectively in your e-business marketing strategy.

2. Start and publish your own blog.

There are a number of benefits from publishing your own blog as an element of marketing strategy. Blogs get you the targetted website traffic you are looking for. You could use backlinks to your site. Search engines love blogs. If your blog contains good content other bloggers would like to link to your blog and you could in turn link with their blog.

3. Publish your own newsletter to generate website traffic.

This is yet another tip that really gets you good website traffic and take your internet marketing to the next level. You have to pick your favorite topic and do some research on that topic as an element of marketing strategy. There is plenty of information available on the Internet. You could read books and newspapers, etc. for more information. Once your gather your information you could write nice newsletters for your visitors. In your newsletters you may include tips about your products and give backlinks to your website. If your information is useful, targeted traffic would swarm your website. You may well be amazed at the results of a good newsletter!

4. Offer free reports, articles or product for email addresses.

Who doesn’t love freebies? Provide your visitors with valuable content on your website. Offer them free things, once they sign up for your newsletter or guestbook. This way you could collect their email addresses to build your opt-in list for future marketing. This one tactic as used effectively as part of your e-business marketing strategy can really help to build more website traffic.

5. Trade ads with other ezine publishers.

There are plenty of ezines that publish different kinds of topics. You could find one that matches your topic and trade ads with them as part of your internet marketing to help get more website traffic. If your website content is also good, those publishers may come forward to trade ads with you. Subscribers hit on these backlinks to your site and website traffic would be boosted for all websites engaged in ad trading.

6. Join online forums

This is a great website traffic generating activity if used effectively as part as an element of marketing strategy. Participate in forums where you could exchange knowledge, learn about your targeted visitors, provide backlinks and gain more traffic to your website.

Increase Online Website Traffic - Free Resources Show You How

Monday, July 27th, 2009
If you’re a webmaster, you know you always need to increase online website traffic to help you succeed. You could be selling your own products, or you’re an affiliate for others, or you’re building your lists and so want to capture email addresses. Whatever your it’s function, you will know that nothing is going help your success more than taking steps to increase online website traffic to your site.

There are many ways to undertake promotion with a view to increasing traffic to your website. One of the most effective is to try and get in the top ten positions of Google, Yahoo and other search engines. This has the added advantage of being free traffic, as opposed to say, pay per click or advertising.

However, attempting to get your website returned on the first page of search engines is very ambitious. It means that you will have to optimize your web pages extremely efficiently for your chosen keywords and key phrases. Plus, you will be competing against thousands or possibly millions of other websites where the webmasters are also trying to get their sites high up in search returns.

Having said this, it can be done. Search engine optimization is indeed one activity in which the individual webmaster can compete more or less on an equal footing with the corporates. In fact, the ‘one man band’ webmaster has a great advantage in that he or she can usually make instant tweaks and adjustments to their websites in order to improve their site optimization.

Whilst it can be difficult to get on the first page of Google, Yahoo and the rest, you will find lots of resources are available, many free, to assist you in achieving this objective.

For example, I did a search on Google for - optimize website free resources - and it came back with over 68 million hits! So there’s plenty of assistance out there. Maybe too much to know where to start.

If you’re looking for help in optimizing your website, here are a selection of resources which I have found particularly useful:

http://www.sitereportcard.com Free website analysis, optimization and promotion reports.

http://www.seocompany.ca/tool/free-seo-tools.html You will find useful optimization free tools here.

http://www.spiderhelp.com/optimize/ An excellent checklist covering the elements of optimizing your site.

These sites will be a good starting point for you if you’re looking for that ultimate of traffic objectives - to appear in a top ten position on the search engines.

If you use these resources wisely and effectively, you will find they will help considerably in achieving your objective to increase online website traffic.

Increased Website Traffic Can Only Do One Thing: Increase Profits

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Your company is looking to increase profits right? This is the basic strategy for every company. However, the way you go about finding these extra profits could be a lot simpler than you ever imagined.

We already know that using the internet can be the key to finding profits from consumers that can’t physically come to shop in retail locations. However, because this notion is pretty common now, it’s becoming more difficult. Even small, local stores have realized that they can make profits from cities far away by having a website online. However, the most successful of these companies are the ones that make sure that they are steadily and constantly increasing their website traffic.

Increased website traffic can only mean one thing for businesses and this is increased profits. Whether this profit is coming from direct online purchases or just marketing purposes that ultimately drive consumers to financially support your company or cause, the end result will be the same across the board. You will make more money.

Some companies may not say they’re looking for these, profits, but even the most organic of organizations need funding. Websites that have a social cause instead of a retail focus still need to be convincing customers for support, whether it’s financial or comes from other means. Either way, increasing the traffic of the website for the company or organization will always bring financial support. The more people know about a cause or business, the more attention and money that will ultimately be thrown to the effort.

Take small community newspapers for instance. These websites are often not selling anything, but are using their website as a showcase for their writing and general content. Although this is nice for readers, the company ultimately benefits. The profits here are not as clear as in retail. However, they’re still here. Advertisers in these newspapers are throwing more money to the newspaper for their ads because the ads are being viewed by readers online and in the paper publication. So, the ad dollars go up as the website generates more traffic. And, maintaining a website is much cheaper for a publication to do than to increase circulation which would take lots of money to print using paper and resources and staff to run the operation. However, if there is not a large amount of website traffic, the advertisement value goes down.

This scenario is true for countless other business endeavors. You might not see where the profits are coming initially, but they’re always there. Having a website with great traffic is worth profits and so many other benefits. Financial support is necessary for any company and websites make this easier only with high volumes of website traffic.
